The Southside Robotics Club is thrilled to announce that we have received a set of new robots, courtesy of ESSER funding. This generous support has greatly enhanced our resources, and the entire club is deeply appreciative of the opportunity this provides. During our participation in previous competitions, we observed that many other schools were utilizing advanced robots that were not only lighter but also significantly faster than the models we had. This observation sparked our determination to upgrade our equipment and stay competitive. With the arrival of these new robots, we are excited to apply their advanced features in the competitions scheduled for next spring, where we will tackle specific tasks designed to test our skills and creativity. As soon as the robots arrived, the robotics students eagerly unpacked each one with great anticipation. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and they quickly worked together to assemble the robots, showcasing their teamwork and technical skills. By the end of our session, we had successfully built the robots, marking a significant milestone for the club as we prepare for the upcoming competitions.
